Mary McKee Education Foundation
General Information
The Mary Educational Fund was established as the tax-deductible entity for 4-H House in 1987 to provide academic and need-based scholarships to House members. As the need for paid tutors emerged, MMEF expanded its mission to help support the cost of tutoring. And as computers and internet access became essential elements of college life, MMEF responded and added the funding of tech systems and support to its mission.

Tutoring
House members sometimes need tutoring to achieve their academic goals. Tutoring often
starts with assistance from House members in the same course or who have
previously taken the course. Tutoring also is often readily available from professors,
teaching assistants and university resources. House members whose tutoring needs
go beyond those resources can apply through the House Scholarship Chairman for
Mary McKee Educational Fund financial support.
Tech Systems and Support
The internet capacity needed by House members has increased exponentially. As
technology continues to progress, the system will need upgrading every two to four
years. Acting proactively, the MMEF Board accepts donations into its general fund
from alumni and friends and family of House members for continued maintenance
and upgrades.
